35 is the new "elderly"
Saw a college classmate in a bar a few days ago for the birthday of a friend. She’s been married for 3 months and already she’s been getting the “when are you having a kid?”, followed quickly by “you’re not getting any younger,” comment. (I told her I’ve been married for three years and a half; I don’t get questions, I get reprimands.) Even her ob-gyne has been telling her SHOULD get pregnant already before she hits 35. That women who get pregnant at the age of 35 with their first child is referred to as an “elderly” because of the complications it poses. Elderly.
Can that tag come with a special senior citizen card for discounts, especially in children’s stores for all the gifts we have to buy for baptisms and kiddie parties?
